Townsend

The Townsend Tree Board is planning a school campus cleanup day on May 17th starting at 8 a.m. This is an annual event sponsored by the Tree Board, Rotary and other groups each year to make the school campus good for graduation. The school is the gathering place for many large events and graduation brings in many people from out of town. Extra help is appreciated. BCHS horticulture class students and 4H Exchange students will also be helping. Groups and individuals can meet on the south side of the high school parking lot at 8 a.m. For more information contact Patrick Platenberg, Tree Board Chair at 406-431-4615.

Be sure to check the MUCFA Facebook page for regular Arbor Day highlights.

Welcome to "Splinters"...Tree Boards are an important ingredient in the green industry mix for the state of Montana. They are vital to the health and well-being of trees within a community. Here we share the comings and goings of tree boards around the state. We encourage tree boards to share in their accomplishments, ideas and programs that are not only successful for their communities but can be utilized across our large state. Feel free to send us your news that we can publish here and share with everyone who loves trees. Send information to:   billingsbotanical2@gmail.com
