1.Community Need & Continuum of Tree Care Status
Indicators
- Clearly describes current urban forestry conditions and challenges
- Demonstrates need for requested support
- Explains how the proposed activities address identified needs
-Shows understanding of where the community is within the continuum of tree care
2. Project Scope & Strategic Alignment
- Requested activities are appropriate for the community's current stage of development
- Proposed scope is realistic and aligns with program objectives
- Requests for pruning, removals, or planting are supported by inventory data, management plans, or compelling justification
-Demonstrates strategic progression along with the continuum of tree care
3. Community Capacity & Readiness
- Identifies staff, volunteers, tree board members or partners who will participate
- Demonstrates ability to assist with data collection, planning, clean-up, planting, or other implementation activities
- Shows commitment to trainings and meetings
4. Sustainability & Long-Term Benefits
- Demonstrates commitment to maintaining trees and project outcomes
